Finally, all GCSEs exams are over! However I am not used to my new schedule, being so free for the whole day and most of the time I'll be just worrying about exams results because I know I did terribly bad for science Physics and English. Anyway, in this post I am going to share about this TV show I have been watching on YouTube lately. In fact I discovered the show when I was 14 I guess but did not follow up the show ever since I discovered it. Afterwards I lost my memory of this show until this year when I saw a poster of Code Lyoko on Facebook while I was looking at the news feed.
The show gave me a great impression through its theme song, I loved the theme song, and until now I still love it. Its great music. Anyway, Code Lyoko is a originated from France.
To explain accurately what the show is about I went to look for the description from Wikipedia :
'Jeremie Belpois, a profoundly gifted and intelligent thirteen-year old boy attending boarding school at the fictional Kadic Academy, one day discovers a quantum supercomputer in an abandoned factory near his school. Upon activating it, he discovers a virtual world called Lyoko and Aelita, a young girl trapped inside it.
Afterward, unusual events begin to occur at school. Jeremie learns of X.A.N.A., an autonomous and sentient malevolent and rogue artificial intelligence/multi-agent system who also dwells within the supercomputer whose goal is to take over the real world. Jeremie soon forms a goal to materialize Aelita into the real world and stop X.A.N.A. in his tracks. With the help from Jeremie's best friends and classmates-Ulrich Stern, Odd Della Robbia, Yumi Ishiyama, and Aelita-the group goes to Lyoko in hope to save both worlds from the sinisterly evil virtual entity. '
How cool is that? The best part about it is the jokes these characters crack in school and there's a lot to learn from watching Code Lyoko such as what a real friendship really is, about solutions to problems, about the importance of studying in school, importance of family, teamwork, and most of all, about being brave.
Let me introduce to you the characters. First of all, everyone in the gang are kind souls and they are helpful, forgiving and responsible people and have good sense of humor. The difference about them is that Jeremie ( stereotypical nerd ) is the smartest among them, he's a role model of a student, he in charge of controlling the computer while his friends are virtualized in code lyoko as well as finding solutions such as inventing new programs to combat XANA's attack.
Ulrich ( handsome ) is a cool charming guy who is excellent is PE lessons and good with swords and can utilize his skills of triangulate, super-sprint and triplicate when attacking XANA monsters and defending himself and his friends in code lyoko and knows martial arts like Yumi.
Yumi ( gothic ) is a Japanese girl who is cool & sporty, she swims and plays Frisbee. Due to her being skilled in Frisbee she is very good at handling her fan weapon which serves like a Frisbee when attacking monsters.
Odd ( cutie ) is my favorite character because he's a lot like me, he's an optimist who jokes often & he doesn't do well in school and draws during lesson time moreover, he loves food . He shares bunk room with Ulrich and he owns a dog called Kiwi, in code lyoko he is a purple cat who attacks XANA monsters with blazer arrows which are produced from his paws.
Last but not least, Aelita ( pinky ) had a father called Franz Hopper (creator of Lyoko and XANA but lost control of XANA), she reminds me of strawberry shortcake, anyway she only came to Earth when Jeremie figured out how to materialize her to bring her out of the virtual world called lyoko where she came from, she have a skill of bringing up obstacles for the XANA monsters for defence and using her mind to create bridges sort of thing for ease of transport, but shes the most vulnerable there because she cannot afford to lose any life points like the others. When others lost all their life points on code lyoko they get de-virtualised immediately, as for Aelita, she would be gone forever. Another special skill of Aelita is that shes capable of deactivating towers which XANA have activated to invade the world on Earth to create chaos and try to control over the world. Most of the time, after all the bad issues are settled, Jeremie would hit the button on his computer keyboard to allow rewinding of time so that everyone will have no idea of what happened in the case of XANA's attack, however, Aelita eventually mastered a kind of pink thunder ball power to defeat monsters on lyoko.
The last Character is William, a guy who was kicked out of his previous high school for posting love letters everywhere and entered the same school with the 4 of them, he enters the same class as Yumi. To nobody's surprise, William wants to be more than just friends, causing conflict between him and Ulrich, when both of them vie for Yumi's affections.. Later in the episodes, William's curiosity about the 4 of them sneaking out of school all the time has brought him to discover that they are the Lyoko Warriors. However he was not accepted to be part of their group due to Yumi's objection hence the 'return to the past' was launched but the Lyoko warriors' packed schedule for classes and the constant attacks of Xana put them into no other choice but to accept William in.
In doing so, Jeremy sent him to Lyoko so that he becomes immune to the 'return to the past'. However, X.A.N.A. takes advantage of William's ineptitude and uses the Scyphozoa to take control of his mind and body, effectively trapping him in Lyoko. Jeremie creates a stable polymorphic specter with William's basic memories, and a basic personality in order to prevent suspicion amongst the school. Over time, this "clone" becomes much more popular than William was, but due to his 'dumb' personality, he unknowingly causes trouble for our warriors.
I shall just write till here, and............I might consider continue watching code lyoko evolution (live version ). Thanks to 'Orangejuicexbox' a youtube user who uploads code lyoko shows, if not I would be so bored.
