High Sch Graduation

My high school graduation ceremony, to be exact, was held on 13 November in the afternoon. At the very beginning of the day on that date was utterly boring as all the graduating students including myself ,and school teachers were having rehearsals for the ceremony, the ceremony was treated so importantly as if our President of the country is coming to our school for a visit.

Individual classes had to practice coming into the hall formally from the backstage as well as lining up for the stage to receive the prize and take photo and my class happened to be the first to finish the practice, afterwards my classmates and I were just warming our butts on the chair feeling the pain of boredom. After its done we went to grab our gowns and hanged out in an air conditioned room and listened to Mrs Fong's last advice about life. ( talking about the significance of integrity and discipline, etcetera )

When the real ceremony was going to begin, all students, again including myself, were in gown and court shoes / formal shoes. The gown was like any graduating gown, the main color was dark blue and accessory color was golden, my court shoes on the other hand, was one that gleamed in the morning sun with heels of the height one centimeter. The ceremony was cool, we had our school principal ( forgot his name ) giving a farewell speech and Mister Ng, a former navalite (naval base sec student) student giving us graduation speech that at first sound boring because he began with giving us a history lesson but was pretty interesting afterwards. And then individual classes went up to receive prizes and took photos and then listened to 2 valedictorians' speeches which I paid a lot of attention to because I had respect for them that they had put in great amount of time preparing it although it was not very intriguing as there was zero sense of humor ( imagined how long it was ). However during the moment I set beside Miss Boon, who was my form teacher, It was a bit awkward but I finally managed to chat with her about what I was planning to do after graduation, I liked her a lot because she's pretty and motherly too.

Finally when the graduation ceremony was over the confetti boomed! Then we got to devour free buffet food like sandwiches & éclair and cold pink guava drink  after visitors have served themselves. Later was just photo taking sessions with school mates and teachers. I have only took pictures with three teachers and a few friends because I did  not have my phone with me and of course no one would really be so kind to lend me their phone haha but I was satisfied already.

Personally, I felt that the graduation ceremony was okay, however, instead of feeling happiness and excitement, I felt only relief. I had been sick of staying in high school for so many years, in fact I stayed longer in secondary school than almost everybody else and I couldn't wait to graduate and just start afresh, furthermore I would prefer some group of new friends in the future because there's a particular friend that I am sick of, she was absolutely clingy and extremely childish but I rather not to write more about her. Anyway, I would like to write that my most memorable days in high school was in 2012 when I got to go overseas to South Korea with my two best friends and during that year there was no conflict & annoyance among our clique and I did not do so bad in exams during the time. Lastly, I am going to miss all my teachers for sure, although I had been bored of their faces and lesson but they were just like or family members in school.
